Misty Glaze were called to a property in the picturesque market town of Saffron Walden, that was affected by misted double glazing problems.
We always love receiving enquiries from areas within the Uttlesford district postcodes. Just 12 miles north of Bishops Stortford, our misted window repairs are becoming very popular, now that we have another HQ in Harlow, Essex.
A site survery was arranged and we managed to inspect the misted double glazed patio doors. The misted glass was on an older style uPVC patio door, estimated to be around 16 years old.
We were asked if we could restore the garden view by replacing the misted double glazed units. Absolutely! The before and after photos speak for themselves!

After our client gave us the go ahead, we placed the order for the new glass units with our manufacturer. Within 7 days the new glass units had been delivered to Misty Glaze HQ. Our glazing team then arrived on site to install them in the existing patio doors.
The existing double glazed units had a smaller air gap than the more up to date glass panes. This was not a problem for us at Misty Glaze, as we can match any glass specification. The units were made in 4mm toughened safety glass on both the inner and outer panes, conforming to health and safety regulations with kite marks in the corners.
The Misty Glaze team cleaned the existing frame and serviced the door lock, which now glides like brand new.
