Bishop’s Stortford, Hertfordshire
Type of Work
Misty Glaze was called in to help Herts & Essex Sports Centre in Bishop’s Stortford, with two large window repairs.
Once our site survey was completed. Our glazing specialists were able to identify the existing Softcoat Low-E glass. An issue that Misty Glaze often faces is matching the existing glass perfectly. Especially when the new window is located next to pre-existing glass styles.
At Misty Glaze, we are fortunate to have links and partnerships with a whole host of glass and glazing manufacturers. This makes the job of matching existing glass very easy. Combined with the glass knowledge of the Misty Glaze glazing specialists, the like-for-like replacement process is quick and straightforward.
It was clear that the two large window repairs required both a MAEDA Mini Crane (with vaccum lifters) and scissor lift. An advantage of using Misty Glaze is that we are fully equipped with the specialised tools and equipment to carry out the large window repairs successfully.
Once the client was happy with the glass specifications and colour match, the order was placed with a 5 day manufacturer turnaround. Within this period, work permits and RAMs were organised to comply with safety standardss. The Misty Glaze team are IPAF licensed. A team of 4 installers (plus a Misty Glaze site supervisor) were on site to complete the large window repairs.
The work was completed within a morning. The new windows lifted into position and installed safely with minimal disruption, re-beaded, and cleaned. At Misty Glaze, we always go above and beyond for our clients needs. Our team ensures installation is completed swiftly without mistakes.
Misty Glaze completed another successful commercial window installation without any issues. A big thanks to Martin and Millie for their preparation and taking care of securing all the areas for the Misty Glaze team to safely carry out the large window repairs.
At Misty Glaze we always go above and beyond for our clients needs and we will do whatever it takes to get the right like-for-like glass.
